Suzuki recommend tightening the head nuts every 6000 km, 3500 miles.
I would never ignore Suzuki's service requirements.
Failing to tighten the head nuts will ultimatly lead to a blown head gasket.
DavidK has been lucky so far. Sooner or later he will find that it is broken and it will need fixing.
